v2026-10
Make the relationship clear
Referral disclosure guide
v2026-10 | 3 October 2026
Required: "I earn a referral commission from Broadcastwell if you purchase through my referral."
Use "I may earn..." only if earning is genuinely conditional. Do not replace this with vague labels such as partner, ambassador or affiliate link. The relationship must be understandable where the recommendation is seen.
| Channel | Placement |
|---|---|
| Email or direct introduction | Put the complete disclosure in the first recommendation, before the introduction link or commercial invitation. |
| LinkedIn or other social text | Put it beside the recommendation, above any More truncation. A profile bio or distant hashtag is insufficient. |
| Website, comparison or article | Put it immediately beside the recommendation/link, in ordinary readable text. Repeat where a later recommendation is separated from the first. |
| Video or livestream | Say it aloud and display it clearly at the recommendation. Repeat during long streams; also place it by links in the description. |
| Slide, webinar or event | State the relationship at the recommendation and display it on the relevant slide. |
Accurate explanation: We measure whether AI answers name or cite a B2B software company under a stated question set and method. Results vary. A finding is not a promise of placement, traffic, leads or revenue. The $990 Diagnostic is paused; use current approved material and never offer it as available.
Before a partner's first public promotion, we review the exact proposed copy, link and disclosure placement and record the approval. We then spot-check dated examples. Record a breach, corrective request and follow-up; repeated breaches pause new promotion and registrations. Correctly earned lawful payments are not forfeited for an unrelated copy breach.
No spam, scraped/purchased contact lists, fake reviews, invented results, income/job promises, recruiting bonuses, paid advertising without written permission or commitments on our behalf. Do not use applicant contacts for promotion.
Basis: FTC disclosure guidance. Local advertising law may impose additional duties.
